What is Hopp Card? A wallet and Visa card (virtual, plus optional physical) provided by Airwallex. You receive payouts after each completed ride, and can spend with the card, withdraw from ATMs, or transfer funds to your bank account.
Who provides the card and wallet? Airwallex provides the wallet, card, and all regulated financial services. Hopp integrates these into the Driver App.
Do I need to complete KYC to use Hopp Card? No. You've already completed onboarding with Airwallex, so no extra KYC step is required.
How do payouts work? Earnings are credited to your wallet after each completed ride. The credit appears shortly after the ride ends.
How do I get a virtual card? It's created automatically once you join Hopp Card.
How do I get a physical card? All drivers can order one. Inside the wallet, tap "Get a physical card." It's optional.
How is the physical card delivered? By untracked delivery to your home address. You must activate it inside the app before use, it is not active on arrival.
Can I withdraw cash from ATMs? Yes. Hopp and Airwallex don't charge ATM fees, but the ATM operator or network may apply its own charge.
Can I add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay? Yes, manually for now. Copy the card details from the app and paste them into the Apple Pay or Google Pay add-card flow.
What are the fees?
- Card purchases (POS and online): free
- Bank transfer: 0.99 CAD
- ATM withdrawal (Hopp or Airwallex charge): free, the ATM operator may charge separately
- Monthly or account maintenance fee: none
What are the transaction and spending limits?
- Monthly spend limit: 15,000 CAD
- Daily withdrawal limit: 750 CAD
- Transaction limit: 3,000 CAD
What if I spot a transaction I don't recognize? Go to Card, select the transaction, and choose "Report issue." This routes directly to the review team.
Why can't support see my card details? Card data is held securely and isn't accessible to support agents. This keeps your card information protected.
I lost my card, what do I do? Freeze or lock it immediately from the app, then contact support to get a replacement issued.
Does Hopp Card change how much I earn? No. Your earnings are unchanged, only the destination changes: funds go to your Hopp wallet instead of directly to your bank account.
Is Hopp Card mandatory? No. It's opt-in.
