Which pets can join a Hopp Pet ride?

You're welcome to bring one small to medium-sized animal such as a cat or dog on your ride. Rides with animals that aren't a typical small to medium-size household pet will be up to the driver's discretion. If you wish to travel with a larger dog or a different type of animal, please notify your driver through the app before your trip.

How to book a pet-friendly trip

Once you’ve downloaded the Hopp app, add your destination and select the Pet category before confirming your trip. Hopp Pet will guarantee a safe and comfortable journey for you and your furry friend, but here are a few things to keep in mind:
  1. Bring something with you to cover the seat (a blanket, towel, seat cover, etc.);
  2. Ensure your pet is safely restrained (via leash, harness, or crate) for the entire journey, and be sure to ask the driver if they have a preference for where your pet sits;
  3. Don’t leave pets unattended for any part of the journey.

As a passenger, you are fully responsible for your pets during a ride. To ensure a smooth trip with your pet, we recommend bringing a blanket to cover the seat and a cleaning kit with wipes and tissues.

If you’re driving with Hopp, here’s everything you need to know about the new Pet category as a driver. Note that the category is optional, and you can choose to opt in and out at any time. To check if you’re enrolled and to access the list of available categories, simply tap on the driver preferences in your Hopp Driver app at the bottom right of the map.

Once enrolled, you will still have the possibility to decline incoming requests at any point. If you are allergic to animals, make sure to opt out of the Hopp Pet category.
