Safety Standards Certificate (SSC)
A Safety Standards Certificate (SSC) is required for every vehicle on Hopp.
Things You Should Know
- A Safety Standards Certificate (SSC) shows that your vehicle meets the minimum safety standards - without one, you cannot drive with Hopp
- You must upload a new SSC yearly to continue to drive
- To be eligible for a PTC licence and to pick up passengers in Toronto, you must upload a SSC within 36 days of the inspection date
- If your SSC is older than 36 days, you can still drive in other cities where Hopp is available, but will not be able to pick up passengers in Toronto
