YYZ Airport Guidelines for Rideshare Drivers

If you’re driving to the airport for pickups or drop-offs, please read these rules to ensure a smooth experience for you, your riders, and airport staff, and to avoid fines or suspension of airport or Hopp privileges.

How it works

Before entering airport property, stay online and connected to your Hopp app at all times. Disconnecting within the airport geofence is not permitted. Keep your driver’s license, vehicle registration, and any required documents up to date and ready for inspection.

For pickups and drop-offs, use only designated rideshare zones within the terminal and follow the in-app directions carefully. Do not solicit rides or stop outside authorized areas.

While waiting for a ride, you may queue only in the rideshare staging lot at 3340 Network Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1B5. Keep your app open and notifications on, leaving the lot without a trip request will remove you from the queue. Keep the area clean and respect airport property.

When it comes to safety and conduct, obey all posted speed limits and traffic signs. Stay professional and courteous at all times — profanity or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Always cooperate with airport security or law enforcement.

For parking, use only authorized areas and pay any required fees. Unauthorized or expired parking may result in fines or towing.

If Approached by Airport Authorities, provide your Hopp app displaying that you are in queue or your active ride.
