Hopp uses a temporary card authorization to verify your card and reduce the risk of fraud. This will appear as a pending charge on your account.
The authorization is not an actual charge and will be released immediately or within 14 days. If it hasn’t been released after 14 days, please contact your bank or financial institution.
The authorization can also be held for a canceled ride.
Card authorization can fail for the following reasons:
- You have insufficient funds in your account
- Your bank declines the transaction
- The system notices suspicious card activity.
If it fails, you won’t be able to request a trip. In this case, please contact our Support team.
