The application process for a PTC Licence
To pick up passengers within the City of Toronto, you must have a Hopp PTC Licence issued by the city.

To qualify for a PTC Licence you must:

Upload a Safety Standards Certificate (SSC) to Hopp within 36 days of inspection

Vehicle must not be older than 7 years

Zero emission vehicles are exempt from age restrictions
Have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
Have a PTC training certificate from a City approved training program
Vehicle must have snow tires or all weather tires from December 1 to April 30

Pass a criminal background check and driver abstract screening

Hopp will apply for a PTC licence on your behalf once your satisfy the requirements listed above

Once we receive your licence, it will be uploaded to your driver profile and can be viewed in the driver portal
